This can be a very difficult question to answer as there are so many factors that impact this question, but in the Mid Atlantic we can generally make it so there is no out of pocket costs, and it saves you money in the first month!
Your savings depends on variables such as general electricity usage vs roof or yard space for solar. In a lot of cases we are able to save you close to 100% of your electric bill. However, depending on your individual set up, this may only be 50%. Our goal is to maximize your investment, and only install solar in areas that makes the most sense for you.
As of right now there is a federal 30% tax credit. In addition to that most states have additional incentives such as Solar Renewable energy credits, state based grants, or other utility base incentives
Between long term financing options and leases, there are multiple ways to go solar without having to come up with the large up front investment. Deciding on which option works best for you depends upon your specific scenario. The key is understanding the costs and benefits of each option to determine which is the best fit for you.
Your home is a good fit if you have a roof that is not in the woods, or shaded by large trees or buildings. If your house is shaded by large trees or buildings, there is always an option to install ground mounted solar panels as long as you have open space available,.
At American Sentry Solar we offer a 25 year warranty on all of our solar products. This includes a material and labor warranty.
After you decide to go solar, we will do a site survey to verify all materials, and complete structural engineering, from here we have to get permits and utility approvals. Depending on your area this entire process will usually take anywhere from 3 weeks to 3 months. Once we have the approval a standard installation will take anywhere from 1 to 3 days
In many areas in the MId-Atlantic there are regulations in place that specifically make it so solar will not increase your property taxes.

We've had an excellent experience with American Sentry Solar. Austin was our sales person, and he was very professional and explained everything to us in detail. The team that came in did great work, everything looks good and is working well. They had to do some inside work in order to run the lines to the roof, and came back one week after the original installation to fix the drywall and paint. All looks great. We were able to get financing with no interest or payments due for 14 months. Highly recommend!
